Hersey Nature Reserve, Seaview
From Wightpedia
Hersey Nature Reserve is located on marsh land behind the Seaview to Springvale coastal road.
Named after the late Alan Hersey, a former local Parish, Borough and County Councillor, the reserve was established in 2002 on 20 acres managed on a 50-year lease by the IW Council along with Natural England, the Environment Agency and local residents.
Public access is provided to a small area which includes a bird hide overlooking a lagoon - the reserve is noted both for wildfowl and wading birds.
The Duver Road outside the Nature Reserve is a 'Pay and Display' car park.
