Shorwell Village Pump
Shorwell, Isle of Wight has two pump today (2018).
The one at the Green (above), at the north end of the village, is shown on the 1862 Ordnance Survey map.
Pump in the Crown Inn garden
The pump located in the garden of the Crown Inn does not appear on the early maps although a well is shown in the approximate position. Other pumps in the village are shown on the maps, it is possible that the one at the Crown Inn was relocated from one of the other positions.
