St John the Baptist Church, Yaverland

The St John the Baptist Church on Yaverland Road dates from the 12th century is Grade I listed[1]. The church was originally a manorial chapel (Yaverland Manor being adjacent).
The church registers show that there were burials registered here, however, the 1904 Kelly's Directory records that there was no burial ground and that interments took place at Brading churchyard.
