Temperance drinking fountain, Ventnor

Ventnor Temperance drinking fountain
Located at the bottom of Shore Hill where it joins Ventnor Esplanade, stands a drinking fountain given to the town in 1883 by the Ventnor and Bonchurch Temperance Society.
The inscription reads:
ERECTED & PRESENTED TO THE TOWN
BY THE
VENTNOR & BONCHURCH TEMPERANCE SOCIETY
FROM FUNDS RAISED BY PUBLIC SUBSCRIPTION
