United Reformed Church, Haylands, Ryde
From Wightpedia
In 1969 the George Street & Haylands Congregational Churches merged and looked for a new site in Haylands to replace both premises[1].
The site for the new church was found at Beech Grove (or Beechgrove), Corbett Road, Haylands; a large Victorian house on the corner of Corbett and Upton Roads, with grounds in which a new church would be built, the site was dedicated in May 1970[2].
The church joined the United Reformed Church movement in 1972.
The newly built church was opened in October 1974.[3]
