Ventnor Gas Works 1898
The gas works of the Ventnor Gas and Water Company was located on the coast on Wheelers Bay, Ventnor, Isle of Wight.
Coal was delivered by sea to the adjacent wharves.
In 1932 the gas undertaking was acquired by the Shanklin Gas Company - the local Council had acquired the water undertaking the previous year.
The site is now (2020) largely occupied by the Ventnor Holiday Villas.
