Lake - WWI memorial horse trough

Standing on a traffic island at the junction with the Fairway at the bottom of Lake Hill alongside the Lake War Memorial is this WWI memorial to the horses and dogs also involved with WWI.

Inscription: -

TO THE HORSES AND DOGS WHO ALSO,

BORE THE BURDEN AND HEAT OF THE DAY,

1914 – 1920

The horse trough obviously also included a drinking fountain.
