Wootton Methodist Chapel (Sloop Lane)

Dating from the early 19th century, this Grade II listed building[1], was originally a Free Wesleyan Chapel. To the left of the chapel was the Chapel Caretaker's Cottage, (now called Ella Cottage) which is also Grade II listed[2].
The Chapel was in use in 1898; the building was subsequently used as the County Headquarters for the St John's Ambulance, and is now (2023) a residential property.
