Lime Kiln, Moons Hill, Freshwater
From Wightpedia
Built into the north side of Moons Hill Freshwater, two structures are believed to be lime kilns. For many years, their purpose was uncertain - possibly ice houses - and their 'restoration' in the late Victorian times didn't really help with identification but they now fairly confidently recognised as lime kilns[1].
Although there were two structures recorded on the site, only one now (2018) appears evident.
