St David's (RC) Church, East Cowes

The current St David's Church (RC) in Connaught Road, East Cowes dates from 1952 and was designed by Cyril Sheppard, architect of Ryde.
There had been a Roman Catholic church on this site since 1906, originally an 'iron church' which was replaced by a brick building in 1923, this latter building was damaged by enemy action during WW2.[1]
